Restorative Practices encompasses a continuum of strategies that create connections and build community. RP is based on the premise that people change their behavior when we do things WITH them as opposed to TO them or FOR them. In an RP community, every learner knows that they are seen, heard, and valued, facilitating better behaviors for all kids, especially those with a history of negative behaviors, and RP is a promising practice for improving disproportionate discipline data.
In this two-day workshop we will be immersed in the range of Restorative Practices, which you will experience in a circle community. On day 2, we'll explore the many ways that circles may have value in your environment. You'll leave with an appreciation for RP and techniques to employ the Monday after the training!
